Selecting Guest Speakers and the Visit of Papa Don Finto
The process for selecting guest speakers to fill the pulpit involves long-term relational trust rather than random bookings. Upcoming and past speakers mentioned include Chris Dunham, Tommy Hayes, Victor Marks, and Todd from Nashville. A highlight is the upcoming visit from Papa Don Finto of Caleb Global, a spiritual mentor to artists like Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant.
Don Finto of Caleb Global is highlighted as a "general of the faith" who exemplifies lifting others up without self-depreciation. The hosts contrast worldly self-confidence with "Christ confidence," a term coined by the late Bill Lovelace. They discuss the importance of leaders taking a supporting role and sharing stories of their own mistakes to keep the focus on God.
