27: Faith in the Fog of War
Pete Hegseth and the Good Friday Pilot Rescue
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared a story regarding an F-15 fighter pilot shot down and subsequently rescued in a mission involving C-130s. Hegseth drew parallels between the pilot's three-day ordeal and the Easter story, noting the pilot was rescued on a Sunday morning. The hosts discuss the "cringy" nature of mixing military reports with religious sermons while acknowledging the reality of faith in combat.
