Senator John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, appeared in a video at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas to introduce his Republican colleague, Dave McCormick. Fetterman praised McCormick as a friend and a "common sense" leader who fights for the steel industry. The hosts highlight this as a rare moment of bipartisan friendship and a return to traditional political civility centered on American manufacturing.

The hosts counter that Trump's survival of the Butler, Pennsylvania assassination attempt has solidified his message that God saved him to save the country.
