18: Pascal's Wager
Joseph F. Drummond and Alarmist Religious Broadcasting
The hosts review an alarmist email from Joseph F. Drummond sent to a National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) mailing list. The email claims the "veil is tearing" and cites events in Iran, Russia, and the potential sacrifice of a red heifer as signs of the end times. The hosts express discomfort with this "alarmist" tone, suggesting that believers should focus on winning "just one more" person to faith rather than cheering for destruction.
