The current relationship between the government and the people is likened to a divorce, where the state has abandoned Constitutional ideals and responded with controlling behavior. Critics of the Constitution who call it an "old document" are reminded that the alternative being implemented is an even older form of "thug rule" and fascism dating back to Ancient Rome.
