John Campbell redefines "responsibility" as being "response-able," or having the ability to respond rather than carrying a burden. He uses the analogy of a child's mobile hanging over a cot to explain that moving one part of a system causes the rest to shift. He argues that if an individual does the internal work on themselves, their relationships with ex-employers or ex-spouses must inevitably change.
