Laughter and shared experiences are presented as the most memorable aspects of the father-child bond. Rather than preaching or telling jokes, fathers are encouraged to be "real" by sharing stories from their own lives and relating to children on their level, whether through Lego or football cards. This authenticity creates a safe space for children to eventually open up about more complex social issues as they grow older.
