Newtonian Physics, Home Maintenance Disasters
The conversation opens with a reflection on the difficulty of returning to a busy routine after the COVID-19 lockdowns, comparing the transition to Newtonian laws of motion. One speaker details a series of home maintenance failures occurring over a single week, including a broken light switch, blown kitchen lights, a clogged toilet, and a mysterious water stain on the kitchen ceiling.

00:00 Welcome! It's not Friday, it's Monday but it is the wrap up and we are back after a few weeks off. It's great to have you here if you're watching on the live. It's awesome to have you here if you're watching listening on any kind of recording yes two dads sorting out the world having a laugh and taking their piss welcome to The Wrap Up Welcome to Team Super Dad. Real dads creating their best lives ever, more time more money more fun you are not alone your on team super dad Glen welcome back. Hey boy welcome back to the land of podding and how's things been? It has been forever
00:44 I know, who'd have thought that coming out of lockdown was harder than going into lockdown? Well actually probably true is it sit on your arse at home and do nothing versus try to get your life back together. It's a basic law of physics basically things in motion tend to stay in motion things at rest tend to stay at rest so basically we're just all living our Newtonian dreams I'll have to ask another day what does that bloody mean? If i'm sitting on my arse a lot, I'm gonna stay sitting on my arse. if I'm busy then I'm gonna stay busy basically that's all it means! Oh okay and like some kind of law of physics pushing something that was previously not moving uh... It takes a little while to get things going again
01:33 Definitely, yeah. All about conservation of energy or some shit like that I don't know it's far too late Jonnie and I've had too many things blow up in my house for me to be thinking about anything other than the next steps Yes it's also why I did single combined science which was Like how to wire a plug and how the eye works. I could bloody do with that right now, but I tell you what? I'm not exaggerating in the last week so my boy's light switch has stopped working. I've tried to replace that and the light switch ain't working. My kitchen lights just blown some one of our toilets is a bit plugged up it just doesn't drain properly which is the one the kids keep shitting in constantly like look there's a toilet that works
02:19 Here's to that one! And then my, um... I came home from being out and about for a day or two. And my kitchen ceiling has got this big water stain on it and like it was dripping a bit from the bath but the bath wasn't on and now it stopped and dried up so it's a mystery Jonnie mate, I just need someone who's done their basic engineering to come around and fix my house It's not basic engineering, it's a BTEC General Builders Collab. Foundation! BTEC foundation year where you get to do a bit of everything... I don't need foundations those are under the house those are sorted but next door has been pouring shit into their foundation they're building an extension and i'm sitting here in my room and all I can see all day out the side of my eyes is a bastard builder bum crack
