Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the "Foundry Schools" program, a partnership between the government and eight universities including Ohio State and Stanford. The initiative aims to move beyond "diploma mills" by training students in advanced manufacturing skills for high-paying jobs. The program is part of a broader effort by the Trump administration to reindustrialize the United States and address the national skills gap.
