University of Texas law professor Richard Segura and law student Phil Harris analyzed the Texas Penal Code regarding antique or curio firearms manufactured before 1899. The legal experts noted that while these items are generally legal to carry, the core legal dispute centers on whether officers had the right to order the men to leave the premises.
