About this episode

Donald Trump claims a miracle drug blessed by God cured his COVID-19 infection, sparking skepticism over his recovery timeline and sudden pivot toward free medicine. Jonnie Jensen analyzes the President's rhetoric blaming China for the pandemic while contrasting these global headlines with the personal chaos of September birthdays. The week-long celebration for his children highlights the surprising quality of the Collins Keys Wheel of Fortune toy and the importance of maintaining childhood magic.

Nic Askew of Soul Biographies utilizes a minimalist black-and-white filming style to capture deep emotional truths, while Alan from the Fathers Rights Movement continues his Father's Lives Matters project to support men navigating child court battles. A BBC Sounds documentary on the history of Ecstasy prompts a look back at early rave culture in Ibiza and Glastonbury, contrasting pre-social media hedonism with modern social distancing. Health discussions focus on testosterone levels for men over 40, citing at-home biomarker testing and the physiological impacts of supplements and lifestyle changes.

Jonnie Jensen invites Matt Albejes and Dean Coulson to join a new conversational format inspired by Tottenham Hotspur podcasts like The Fighting Cock. The Hero Academy relaunch provides a structured accountability group for fathers seeking success during lockdown. This fourteenth installment of the wrap-up series concludes with an invitation to the Monday Night Dad Call for community support.

CHAPTER 01 / 11 Discussion

Team Super Dad Wrap Up, September Birthdays and Conception

Jonnie Jensen introduces the Team Super Dad wrap-up, noting that this is the fourteenth installment despite some scheduling inconsistencies. He explains that his children both have birthdays in late September, leading to a frantic week. He jokes that September birthdays are the result of "Christmas shags" and "New Year's Eve bonus shags" occurring nine months prior.

team super dad· jonnie jensen· september birthdays· conception· christmas

00:00 Welcome to Team Super Dad, it's Friday. It's the wrap up! We're talking boners Christmas and getting high. Roll theme Welcome to Team Super Dad. Real dads creating their best lives ever, more time more money more fun you are not alone! You're on team super dad welcome welcome it is the wrap-up Jonnie here at Team Super Dad friends family members all around the world it's great to have you Great to have you here. We're a little bit, if you saw last week's What Were We On? we were on the live stream with The Fathers Lives Matters. You'll see we're a little bit panned out definitely better Instagram. We've got you rocking right there it's Friday it's the wrap up and

00:52 You know, if you're an eagle eyed member or friend you will know that it should be the wrap up 14 right? Flipping it. It should be the wrap-up flipping 70! But that's another whole story. We are on number 14, but we missed last week and there is a very good reason for that quite frantic reason if you know me then you will know exactly when my kids birthdays are and I'll tell you all about that but they are very close together very close together this oh well what is it? If you've got if you've got kid's birthdays

01:30 In, especially in September right if you got kids birthdays in September that is your Christmas shag basically. You've got nine months since your New Year's Eve bonus shag and then you've got a baby and then if you've got kids at two years apart and one week apart Then you know that's pretty much what you were getting, your Christmas shag basically. So there we go that's when I've got both my kids birthdays in the end of September. Rosie should have been a couple weeks after actually so that would have been more like your January blues bonus basically

CHAPTER 02 / 11 Discussion

College Experiences, Radio Journalism and Early Rave Culture

A reflection on past education reveals a failed attempt at a radio and journalism course after leaving grammar school. The speaker describes choosing college based on a sibling's promise of fun, which resulted in a period of drinking and drug use. This era coincided with the rise of British rave culture, described as a hedonistic, pre-social media time spent in pubs and clubs.

college· radio journalism· rave culture· higher education· hedonism

02:16 It is Friday and we are welcome everybody. If you're here, come and say hello! We can pull those comments in whatever channel you are watching on. We're on StreamYard so streamyard.com forward slash Facebook and I can see your face if you want to as always... Hello tell me where... Tell me where you are at? Boom You know, the funny thing is if I'd have stuck with my radio and journalism course. I would know exactly how to touch type but as it happened i did not like my radio and journalism course. I just wanted to do the radio bit. I left grammar school and I wanted to go and do... someone said to me.. Someone said to me, my sister actually

03:00 It's her fault. My sister said to me, do you... college was even more fun than school? So I had a lot of fun at school right so i'm thinking i'm thinking more fun than school holy shit if there's something there is that there's somewhere I can go and spend each day that's more fun in school! So off I went to college and basically learned how to drink and smoke weed basically So that was the start of my A-Levels, or higher education. Definitely a higher education!

03:38 It was also right around the time we first went raving. So, you know it was a good time to be British. It was a good time pre-social media, definitely quite hedonistic. I couldn't even have spelt that word then probably let alone know what it meant and In the pub, drinking beer and then smoking weed pretty much till I threw up basically. So there's my role model adventures for the day. Don't say as I do... Do as I say not as I do! Well that's gone out of the window straight away

CHAPTER 03 / 11 Discussion

Donald Trump, COVID-19 Recovery and Miracle Drug Claims

The discussion shifts to American politics and Donald Trump's reported recovery from COVID-19. Skepticism is expressed regarding the President's acting skills and his claim that he was cured by a "miracle drug" blessed by God. The segment also addresses Trump's rhetoric blaming China for the pandemic and his sudden pivot toward offering free medicine despite previous stances on Medicare.

donald trump· covid-19· miracle drug· china· medicare

04:21 So, it's the wrap up. If you're new to this welcome Team Super Dad is a community for dads who want to create the life they desire rather than the life they feel stuck with. We are here in the UK but we've got dads with us from all over the world. My family in Chicago that's my big goal is to have The Hero Academy having events and Firewalking and the F5 program in the UK and in America so that I can be in Chicago more often. And we've got the election coming up in November, did you see Donald Trump on on the TV? Do you believe he got ill? I don't believe he got ill! I'm just putting it out there... He's not the best actor in the world

05:13 Did he get ill? I'm not sure, but he says he's been blessed by God to have got Corona and and he's now been cured by a miracle drug. A miracle drug! And having closed all like bracks hospital stuff Medicare for the last four years He is now going to give away medicine for free So vote Trump You can have four more years of madness Oh and then blames China as well Many people would say, and it does seem to be the case that Corona came out of China but according to Donald Trump they gave it to the rest of world. We don't know if this is true but thats what he'll be telling everybody for next two weeks. That's my political rant I know more about American politics than I do about UK politics over here we're just

06:02 We're just dancing around from one COVID measure to another, depending on where you live and what's going on. I have no idea! I've no idea...I wash my hands, I wear the mask do I believe it? I have literally no idea whether it's all made up or we've all got the flu or it's just bonkers isn't it but all we can do in fact as Donald says, as Donald Duck says Oh, Facebook. He's back! Yes he is back up the... That was weird uh lost you for a second there but anyway we're back the I know i've lost complete track of thought by that madness uh no it's gone totally gone well thankfully I do have a list of things that we made to talk about what's been going on this week if you were part of the pre-roll then you would know and I was talking about the utterly mad week I've had this week and how much I haven't got done

CHAPTER 04 / 11 Discussion

Children's Birthday Celebrations, Collins Keys Wheel of Fortune Toy

The host details the "insane" week of celebrating his children's birthdays, which fall just one week apart. He emphasizes the importance of keeping the magic alive for kids and mentions his daughter Rosie's interest in specific toys. He specifically praises the Collins Keys Wheel of Fortune toy as being surprisingly high quality and worth the £30 investment.

birthdays· rosie· jago· collins keys· wheel of fortune

07:18 You can count the two weeks for that and that's why we missed the wrap up 13 last week. Should be wrap up 14 this week, but it's been my kids birthdays so my kid's birthday is full one week apart and every year is just insane because they start asking for things that they want or their birthday parties or everything like that I do love birthdays I do love birthday parties kids birthday parties anything when your kids are young If you can keep these things magic for as long as possible, then that's just brilliant. And I remember being a kid like the idea that yeah i'm eight and a bit...i'm eight and a half..I'm eight and three quarters....I'm gonna be nine in three months! One of my best mates Athos he would always tell me about 3 weeks literally after his birth and bang on about it for a year basically. The funny thing is at 46 he still does it

08:21 It's good to be competitive though, it is good. So yeah my kids are two years apart and a week apart so that's my Christmas New Year shag basically back in the days of being married that's why you get two kids birthdays if your kids are in the early part September then that is definitely your Christmas present and if they're later on then that could be a bit of new years eve fun or whatever but my kids It just, it just takes over everything and it is gorgeous. But the wrap up went out the window last week actually Rosie's birthday dinner last Friday the week before was Jago's birthday dinner which I've shared about and we got caught in a car on these football trials and stuff but so its all been insane but we did have an epic weekend she was telling my friend Leela who was here the night before she said that I want the Donatina

09:11 The Donatina, KiddyKindieKid and the Collins Keys Wheel of Fortune. Like it should be shit right? If you if your kids watch Collin Keys they got this they got this range of toys now it should be crap but it's actually brilliant! You open up the...you spin the wheel you open up the section and uh and then you have to make stuff and then you have to decide whose is the grossest whose is the most realistic It's actually £30 well spent. So, well done Collins Keys and then just trying to back into normal life really this last week I've interviewed Nic Askew who does Soul Biographies amazing guy pretty chilled out podcast if you it is going to go live actually next week but if you want watch the live stream its on all the Team Super Dad pages

CHAPTER 05 / 11 Discussion

Nic Askew, Soul Biographies and Deep Interview Techniques

An interview with Nic Askew of Soul Biographies is highlighted for its emotional depth and unique filming style. Askew uses a minimalist setup with black-and-white visuals and a single light, often remaining silent to allow subjects to open up and share real stories. The resulting "soul biographies" are described as moving experiences that capture the essence of the individuals interviewed.

nic askew· soul biographies· podcasting· interview techniques· film

10:04 On that note, by the way if you're watching feel free to share this give us a like or comment I can see the comments. I can see you watching and know how many of your watch in I can see on my Facebook page. Say hello. I need to know where you are and what you're up too, but yeah the Nic Askew interview was deep it was proper deep i've known Nic for years but our paths we just crossfire email and facebook and stuff so he interviewed people all over the world for his soul biographies and they are moving They're moving like experiences. It's just black and white, one light on the person and Nic said that the style is really he doesn't say anything to them He just leaves it on there And its intense and then they crumble and start talking and they start talking in the most real way And...and..then I've really understood how soul biographies work They are moving

CHAPTER 06 / 11 Discussion

Alan of the Fathers Rights Movement, Father's Lives Matters

The host discusses his connection with Alan from the Fathers Rights Movement, whom he first met during a personal divorce and child court battle in 2016. Alan's work with the "Father's Lives Matters" Instagram account is noted as a long-standing project that predates recent social movements. The segment highlights Alan's commitment to sharing positive outcomes and support with other fathers facing similar legal struggles.

alan· fathers rights movement· divorce· child court· instagram

11:08 Real stories from real people from all around the world. Which in many ways was exactly the experience we're talking to Alan of the Fathers Rights Movement, a great guy our paths crossed a couple years ago 2016 when I was in the midst of my separation and divorce and child court and all that sort of stuff And he's out there...I found out he'd already been on his journey for five years up until that point so he learned all this stuff got the positive outcome And then just wanted to share it back with the world. Kind of like my inspiration for Team Super Dad basically, but a good guy his boy was on so we had some cool chat I was on his Instagram you can go and check him out at Fathers Lives Matters on Instagram or way before Black Lives Matters but not that i'm saying he's better or anything i'm just if anyone's thinking oh he jumped in the bandwagon there he didn't he did it he started Father's Lives Matters years ago and um

12:05 And just a great guy. Just, just interesting really really interesting and I got some good feedback from that from other people so go and check it out what else Trump lockdown done a little bit of that raving so much load of stuff has popped up recently if you're if you've got access to the BBC's sounds the BBC Sounds app Then be sure to go and listen to the Ecstasy documentary, it's an audio documentary. If you were part of rave culture if you were 18 19 20 whatever in the late 80s going into the 90s then it was an epic time no mobile phones really unless you worked in a city with one of them briefcases

CHAPTER 07 / 11 Discussion

BBC Sounds Ecstasy Documentary, Nostalgia for Pre-Social Media Raving

The BBC Sounds audio documentary on Ecstasy serves as a catalyst for a discussion on the freedom of the late 80s and early 90s rave scene. The host contrasts the "sweaty, hugging, and high-fiving" nature of past festivals like Glastonbury and Ibiza with the current reality of social distancing. He expresses frustration with modern restrictions and a longing for the "normalness" of physical connection.

bbc sounds· ecstasy documentary· rave culture· social distancing· nostalgia

12:56 Just footloose and fancy free no social media, no checking in. No one really other than the people around you to worry about it was just silly really silly really fun unbelievable experiences meeting amazing people on a regular basis who often you would never meet again and i don't know if its kinda sad It's also a bit weird in this, like the contrast. This is why I put it in the notes for today the contrast if you go and look at any YouTube videos or you've got memories in your mind but going to look at the YouTube videos of stuff from that time like raves and clubs. Blimey even even if you're younger than that and you were clubbing Ibiza last summer if you are Glastonbury any of the last however many Glastonbury's have been out big festivals little festivals just the idea that we would be

13:53 Dancing and drinking and partying, cuddling meeting people hugging high five the whole just normalness of being up close and sweaty like bumping into each other spilling drinks on each other. Snogging strangers, you know like there's just this so weird the world we find ourselves in today and I am pretty fed up of it. And I hope that the miracle comes along pretty soon and not your miracle Donald! It's a real miracle. Blimey blimey blimey what else? So on that point favorite podcast go check out the Ecstasy documentary on BBC Sounds

CHAPTER 08 / 11 Discussion

Podcast Recommendations, David Dobrik and Sean Stevens

A list of recommended podcasts includes the "Views" podcast by David Dobrik and Jason Nash, though the host suggests new listeners start from the beginning to understand the characters. Other mentions include the Sean Stevens Model Health Show for health tips and Lewis Howes' "The School of Greatness." The host admits his listening habits have shifted recently due to his own podcasting projects.

david dobrik· jason nash· views podcast· sean stevens· lewis howes

14:43 Flipping brilliant. Do you know what, I haven't been listening to as many podcasts recently the pod amp which i've set up has enabled me to listen to lots of little bits of podcast but then i haven't been listening to my normal podcast if you are a podcast listener Especially if you're a dad, right? Welcome whoever you are. If you're watching on my personal stream then great just tell me what podcast you listen to if in any of the Team Super Dad channels then what podcast do you listen to? I listened too as I've said before, I love the David Dobrik and Jason Nash Views Podcast. Views! Welcome to views it's just funny It's just silly

15:23 To be honest, you're probably going to need to go way back towards the beginning till actually get to know the characters a little bit because they're kind of off on some random tangent mostly nowadays. But I did enjoy it and the... Probably more on the health and vitality tip The Sean Stevens Model Health Show. The..I've mentioned it before, the Lewis Howes... What's he called? Lewis Howes Life Life of Greatness. It's not called the life of greatness, Lewis Howes greatness something there you go just check it out and you'll find him

CHAPTER 09 / 11 Discussion

Tottenham Hotspur Podcasts, Recruiting New Team Super Dad Co-Hosts

The host discusses his favorite Tottenham Hotspur podcasts, specifically "The Fighting Cock" and "15 Minutes with Flav." He expresses a desire to replicate their conversational format for Team Super Dad and puts out a call for regular co-hosts. He mentions several dads from the Facebook community, including Matt Albejes and Dean Coulson, as potential candidates for a group-style podcast.

tottenham hotspur· the fighting cock· flav· team super dad· recruitment

16:03 And of course the Tottenham ones, last word on Spurs. They have taken over the fighting cock in some big way mainly because they're doing it so often. Flav is the guy that set up The Fighting Cock awesome guy he's got a really cool podcast called 15 minutes I think it was 15 but its 15 Minutes with Flav and and and the other lad Other bloke and they just riffed for 15 minutes on a particular subject. I love it, to be quite honest i'm trying to rip it off and do something similar with some friends of mine And on that note, I'm still working on pulling together a group of dads to come and be part of the Team Super Dads on regular basis. I've chatted with Matt Albejes, Dean Coulson, Freetown, what a cool name huh? Freetown he's part of the Team Super Dad Group on Facebook you can find us at facebook.com forward slash groups forward slash team super dad He's talking about it and another guy called Nathan Daniel when you got your first name in your second name

17:07 Are both first names. It's quite difficult to remember which one comes first, let's check it out he cancelled me we were scheduled to talk and he cancelled me so have a look is where is he company find Daniel Nathan or Nathan Daniels I give up was he gone now give up Daniel no that's been Nathan who cares not that interesting but say if you are listening to this and you are

17:44 Sam Pickett, come on. You gotta be the man. Let's get friends on people you need to have like the mic right? You need to be interested in doing this on a regular basis and that is my kids calling me I'll have to call them back if if you want to come and be on part of the part of Team Super Dad podcast you want to be a regular co-host guest part of the crew basically like it like a sports podcast then just hit me up on text me if you know me, hit me on Facebook or Messenger wherever in the Team Super Dad community. Come forth we want to do like a group podcast with other dads and basically just have a laugh take the piss out of each other maybe talk about a couple of serious things but but basically more than anything just have a laugh probably in this slot so the wrap-up will be a lot of dads talking about their week and wrapping up

CHAPTER 10 / 11 Discussion

Men's Health, Testosterone Levels and Middle of the Night Physiological Changes

A personal discussion focuses on men's health, specifically testosterone levels and the use of at-home biomarker testing kits. The host shares his own experience with increased energy and physiological changes at age 46, which he attributes to vitamins, supplements, or recent dating. He poses questions to the listener community about how married men or gay couples navigate these changes in their relationships.

testosterone· t-levels· biomarkers· men's health· sexual health

18:34 Subjects like, right? And I'm going to go a bit personal on this one. But at 46 you might have come across or you might have been seeing in conversations men talking about their testosterone levels T-levels right like how are your energy levels like what's your sex drive like what's... How happy are you quite often this can come down to your testosterone levels so i've been looking into Testosterone, getting a check trying to talk to a couple of companies that do these sort of they take it sample at home. I think you prick your finger or something and send them the stuff and then they sent back all your readings or your biomarkers tells you how healthy you are. And one of those is testosterone right? So here's the weird thing if there was more dads i'll be able to talk about this If you're listening then tell me The late night boner

19:28 are back in such a crazy way, but not all the time. So like last week Pretty much just waking up in the middle of the night like, and at 46 that's probably not the most regular thing in my life. So I've no idea what that's about it could be It could be the vitamins and supplements time taking. It could be the idea in my mind that I'm been on a few dates with someone I feel like, I feel like about 20 again waking up. Like what do i do with this? Which as you can imagine is quite often there's only one thing you can do with that so... So that's a nice break in the middle of my night sleep basically but if you have are at my age and going through similar things I would love to know what are you doing about this

20:24 You can share that in the group. It's a safe space in the Team Super Dad Group, but or what? Or if you're married, what do you do about it? Because I know how that used to go for me! Your wife not often appreciates being woken up at one o'clock in the night saying, Can we do something about this?! Maybe that's why there is, I guess there are pluses to being a gay guy basically. If you're gay does that okay? Can you wake up your gay partner with a massive hard on in the middle of night? Are they more happy to hear about this in the middle of the night? I want to know this and not that I'm going to turn gay at least I would just be interested

21:10 That's what happens when you listen to the end of the wrap up. You get insights into my life at the end of the wrap-up, insights that you wouldn't get if you just listened to the first part so yeah... To the two people who just joined us we've been talking about my middle of the night erections! What else do you have to talk about in the wrap-up? I know Thanks for listening if you've been this far, that has been my week. I haven't got much work done to be quite honest it's been crazy i've been on a bunch of different podcasts um i'm launching the dad call it's a monday night uh dad call It's difficult times in many parts of the country and many parts of the world we're going back into lockdown

CHAPTER 11 / 11 Discussion

Monday Night Dad Call, Hero Academy and Team Super Dad Outro

The episode concludes with announcements for upcoming Team Super Dad initiatives, including the "Monday Night Dad Call" designed to support men during lockdown. The host also discusses the relaunch of the Hero Academy, a monthly success and accountability group for fathers. He invites listeners to join the Facebook group and visit the official website before signing off.

the dad call· hero academy· jonnie jensen· men's mental health· accountability

21:55 It is emotionally and taxing for a lot of men. So the Dad Call on a Monday night, it's going to be two hours eight till 10 you don't have to stay the whole time but if no one's there I'm not gonna be sitting there on my todd but it will be happening every Monday night. There's a small charge, you know? It's all about Team Superdad and growing Team Superdad. There's a lot of value in there from me and other coaches other experts Dudes, other dads basically will be coming on and doing little slots inside of that. So the Monday night Dad Call is starting in... won't be starting this.. I might do it, what i'll do this Monday's, I'll do it, It will be a free one and we just be doing it so come along get involved then the week after or move over into paid. It's just £25 a month basically. So come on get involved in The Dad Call. The Hero Academy which launched in October, I didn't follow

22:51 The plan, I didn't follow. Basically it was just... It just didn't really land really very well. So we're going to redo that and get dads into the Hero Academy which is the monthly success group for dads really another level of accountability and support around goals around fitness around our family and focus you know? And of course having fun basically Just taking charge of our life. I was just on a podcast with three women on the Women Leadership Show, and we were really talking about the role of men in our families and how difficult that can be. These are kind of things that we're going to hit head-on in Hero Academy, and of course right across everything we do at Team Super Dad.
