An update is provided on "Code Name Pete," a listener struggling with alcoholism who recently chose to enter a detox program. The hosts praise his bravery in being honest with his wife and seeking help through a faith-based recovery framework.
A childhood friend named Hans experienced a dramatic physical and spiritual recovery after suffering from end-stage alcoholism and cirrhosis of the liver. After being prayed over during a visit to Spain, Hans engaged with a faith-based recovery program and returned to health. He recently attended a family memorial in the Netherlands, appearing completely transformed and vibrant.
A listener referred to as "Pete" reached out for support in his struggle with alcoholism and fears regarding his family and career. The hosts emphasize the necessity of bringing struggles into the light and surrendering the "white knuckle" approach to sobriety. They offer a specific prayer for Pete to find the courage to face his fears and find freedom from addiction.
