Protest Austin Police Gun Show Shutdown Monday Jan. 25th 5 7PM [sHuIw5IvoLk] cover

About this episode

Activists from Texans for Accountable Government are mobilizing a protest at the Austin Police Department headquarters on January 25th to challenge the shutdown of local firearms commerce. Participants plan to occupy 715 East 8th Street with empty holsters containing copies of the U.S. Constitution, alleging that Police Chief Acevedo and the ATF intimidated private property owners into terminating lease agreements with legal vendors.

Darwin Bodeker, owner of Texas Gun Shows, reports that his long-standing events at the North Austin Event Center were shuttered after the Austin Police Department pressured the grocery chain HEB to cancel his contract. John Bush, Executive Director of Texans for Accountable Government, claims this interference mirrors federal overreach seen in FCC radio crackdowns and DHS intelligence gathering across Central Texas. Bodeker is currently scouting 25,000-square-foot venues, specifically targeting closed grocery stores on North Lamar Boulevard, to resume operations by late February while soliciting patriotic admission tickets to fund a Second Amendment legal defense.

John Bush emphasizes that the Supreme Court prohibits federal agents from commandeering local law enforcement for regulatory harassment. The tension in Austin coincides with Tennessee legislators introducing bills to close the gun show loophole, prompting calls for a Texas Firearms Freedom Act to exempt locally manufactured weapons from federal jurisdiction. This demonstration serves as a final call for citizens to hold the Austin City Council accountable for the loss of the historic Crockett Center venue.

CHAPTER 01 / 6 Discussion

Austin Police Department Protest, Constitution in Holsters Demonstration

Activists are organizing a protest in front of the Austin Police Department on Monday, January 25th, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to wear empty gun holsters containing copies of the U.S. Constitution to protest alleged intimidation of gun show promoters by Police Chief Acevedo. The demonstration at 715 East 8th Street aims to hold the Austin City Council accountable for law enforcement tactics targeting legal firearm vendors.

00:00 Our right to bear arms is under attack here in Austin. Police Chief Acevedo and his goons need to know we will not allow them to strong arm private businesses, gun show promoters and vendors run corrupt sting operations to intimidate legal gun sellers and cut off public access to purchasing firearms in Austin City Council needs to hold him accountable This isn't people it's starting And we the people are the only ones who are going to do anything about If you don't live in Austin and don't help us stop this here, believe it when we say it's coming to a Texas city near you. Monday January 25th from 5-7pm in front of the Austin Police Department show up 715 East 8th Street come early park down the street and walk

00:47 Wear your gun holsters on your hip and shoulder, but instead of a weapon put the Constitution in it. Bring your friends, your voice and your signs. City Council needs to hold him accountable. And welcome back to Liberty's Clueing on Rule of Law Radio. I'm not waiting for a hero either, I'm making it happen here in Austin and we've created a protest in front of APD Monday from 5-7 715 East 8th Street, say it really quickly. Bring your signs your friends also I want to point out that what we have what we're requesting everyone to do is bring their gun holsters so wear your actual physical gun holsters on your hips or around your shoulders

01:45 But instead of any type of weapon, we want you to put the Constitution in it and be armed with the Constitution. With our protests so everyone wear their hipsters or your shoulder and put your constitution in there bring your friends until everybody about it Austin Police Department because we're not going to stand for the feds to come into the state of Texas to the city of Austin and strong arm private businesses threaten them with litigation if they don't do what they say, even though everything that the gun show is doing within the law and as well as the private vendors.

CHAPTER 02 / 6 Discussion

Texas Gun Shows, North Austin Event Center Closure

Darwin Bodeker, owner of Texas Gun Shows, reports that his events at the North Austin Event Center, formerly known as the Crockett Center, have been shut down. The closure occurred after the Austin Police Department and ATF allegedly pressured the property owner, HEB, to terminate the lease agreement. The venue is located on North Lamar Boulevard, a detail noted for its historical naming significance alongside the Crockett name.

02:26 So I have Darwin Boudicca, who is the owner of the Texas Gun Shows. Who was the one that got shut down because the APD and ATF strong armed HEB into closing their lease with him so he's no longer able to do the gun shows in the Crockett Center on what is it North Lamar? Yeah, it's actually called the North Austin Event Center now. North Austin Event Center? Too bad somebody brought out that fact that its on Lamar Boulevard and the Crockett center because you know the names of Davy Crockett and Lamar. It is just funny they are closing gun shows down with those particular names in mind

CHAPTER 03 / 6 Discussion

Texans for Accountable Government, Federal Overreach in Central Texas

John Bush, Executive Director for Texans for Accountable Government, joins the discussion to oppose federal interference in private commerce and individual sovereignty. He cites various examples of overreach in Central Texas, including FCC actions against radio transmissions and Department of Homeland Security intelligence gathering. Bush argues that the Supreme Court has previously ruled that local law enforcement cannot be commandeered by federal agents for such operations.

03:14 So I have also have John Bush, the executive director for Texans for Accountable Government and he will be there on Monday protesting with us. John how are you? Good good good! How are y'all? We're awesome. Great great. Do you have a question for Darwin? that i just wanted to uh... thank you for standing up and doing what you're doing in uh... host in the show appeared before all of it but let's know that the people are correct then with you her kitten really sick and tired of a federal government comment breaking down our neck down in central texas from every single angle be it uh... fbc trying to stop bar ninety point one transmission uh... deep part of our men security set up by intelligent gathering fusion center

03:59 and now the b a p f coming down trying to shut down our ability to conduct private transactions as uh... sovereign individual so we'll be staying with you throughout this one i guess that the caller earlier that act if uh... local police officers can be used for federal birth but what not uh... people often forget chair back at the major work up for the patriot cause and that it first if you have faith in america the supreme court found that uh... local law enforcement cannot be used by federal can i become endeared by federal agent but it seems like that might be a ed particular uh... infant that were deeply ideal example of a common dear local law enforcement this is not only going to need john sure about what he's learning but

CHAPTER 04 / 6 Discussion

Tennessee Gun Show Legislation, State Firearms Freedom Acts

Legislators in Tennessee have introduced measures aimed at closing the so-called gun show loophole, which critics argue is a step toward shutting down gun shows entirely. Similar to the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act, Texas has explored legislation to exempt firearms manufactured within the state from federal regulation. These legislative efforts are framed as a means for states to declare sovereignty and protect Second Amendment rights against federal jurisdiction.

tennessee· gun show loophole· firearms freedom act· state sovereignty· second amendment

04:46 Well, I also want to say thank you for all y'all's support and standing behind us. We just need to make sure that we go back to having gun shows the way they're supposed to be held and with everybody's support, I'm sure we can all band together and make it happen Sure, we will make it happen without a doubt. Yeah everybody at least just stand up strong because obviously this is bigger picture thing It's not just an isolated incident I think they've introduced legislation in the Tennessee state legislature to stop the gun show loophole quote-unquote and shut down gun shows period And again if not going further than that They have the Tennessee firearms freedom act which was also introduced in Texas

05:27 uh... exempt firearms manufactured entirely within the state from federal regulation for that ever crossed a client and therefore they're not under the jurisdiction of the federal government so perhaps it's not a coincidence that they're going after these states better on the verge of declaring their sovereignty in respecting the second amendment But a question I had for you, are you looking in any way for a new location? Or is there anything that any of the listeners can do to help you perhaps find another venue so we can get this thing going again and heck with HEB. Obviously it would be great if they stayed at the same spot but if they're not gonna allow the feds to top down perhaps we could find another location for here

CHAPTER 05 / 6 Discussion

Texas Gun Shows Venue Search, Square Footage Requirements

Darwin Bodeker is actively seeking a new venue in or around Austin to resume Texas Gun Shows by the third week of February. A suitable location requires approximately 20,000 to 25,000 square feet of space and significant parking capacity for attendees. Closed grocery stores are identified as ideal candidates for these events due to their layout and existing infrastructure.

texas gun shows· real estate· austin· parking requirements· grocery stores

06:08 Yeah, absolutely. I'm definitely in the market if anybody out there knows of a building that we can use in and around Austin I would love to have the next show up and ready by the third week into February If that's possible any help towards doing that is appreciated people can go to the website at www.sexwithgunshows.net dot net needs to be stressed right? yes I'm sorry, everybody knows it's .NET and dot net it was actually a place on there now where we fed up to the government of what it email or people can actually uh... by complimentary and patriotic admission ticket though even though the show is not all in whatever we did you know it coming into that will help us uh... procure another building their costa

06:57 so we can get that guy to show up and running again. So anybody out there listening that knows any, you know buildings in and around Austin I'm all ears just give them my contact info and i'll definitely check them out what's the square footage that you have to have To put on a respectable show, you need at least 20 to 25 thousand square feet. And it needs to have sufficient parking. That's the main problem I run up against is that if you can find really nice buildings they just don't have adequate parking so the parking and the square footage are two biggest things but... You know closed grocery stores are really good? So if anybody knows of a closed grocery store in their area is that correct?

07:43 Yeah, absolutely. I mean anything anything like that that has the square footage in the parking? I don't want people having you know to walk great distances to come to a show I know they would do it to show support But if it's something that we're going to keep You know go on the third weekend of each month it needs to really be in a and uh you know decent location Awesome John did you have anything else for Darwin? uh... yeah i got a bunch myself on our radio program on monday morning of the ride up radio show from seven to ten am we're gonna be happy larry fratty that had done hours of america and others are by curfew available dot spot but we love to have you call it a chat with us as well on monday morning if your free yet saluted like a fed i'm trying to take advantage of of you know get the word out to the different avenues of possible furthermore people that no ever more people again upset
