About this episode

Jeff Davis and radio host Alex Jones mobilize volunteers to rebuild the Mount Carmel Church in Waco, Texas, ahead of the seventh anniversary of the 1993 siege. Reporter Matt Flory confirms that workers from across the United States are finalizing the custom interior and landscaping for a thousand-person memorial service scheduled for April 19. The project serves as a physical rebuke to federal actions during the 51-day standoff.

Government surveillance expansion remains a primary concern as the Department of Public Safety begins scanning thumbs for driver's licenses in Central Texas. Davis compares these biometric mandates to the RFID transponders and computer-scanned transmitters used by veterinarians to track livestock health. Meanwhile, critics of the Texas Education Agency propose a $5,200 annual spending cap per child to curb bureaucratic waste. While President Bill Clinton receives a mixed assessment for his performance, Governor George W. Bush is described as a well-intentioned leader currently trapped by the existing political system.

Chip the Gorham joins the broadcast to provide local perspective on the intersection of state mandates and personal liberty. The conversation highlights the contrast between devoted classroom teachers and the fund-acquisition priorities of state administrators. Listeners are encouraged to observe the dedication of the new Mount Carmel building as a symbol of community resilience.

CHAPTER 01 / 4 Discussion

Jeff Davis on Government Control and RFID Transponders

Jeff Davis discusses government surveillance through the implementation of transponders and tracking chips in livestock and pets. He claims that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) has begun scanning thumbs for driver's licenses in Central Texas. The narrative compares modern human identification methods to the computer-scanned transmitters used by large animal veterinarians to track cattle health records.

CHAPTER 02 / 4 Discussion

Texas Education System Funding and Legislative Spending Caps

A discussion regarding the Texas education system highlights concerns over rising taxes and bureaucratic inefficiency. A proposal is made for legislators to pass a bill capping annual education spending at $5,200 per child to force fiscal conformity. While the principals and teachers at the Texas Education Agency are described as devoted, the system itself is criticized for prioritizing fund acquisition over actual student instruction.

01:13 Yeah, this is a good show. I'm glad that y'all are back to reality after that one light was on today but All these bonds all this stuff you know we do need good schools We did eat all this But your guess is absolutely right the biggest percentage of this is just going through the system scam artist and what's scary Is as the American people knows what's going on? They've just gotten apathetic. I mean I'm starting to get really really uh... unhappy about it because i think people just don't care anymore they think you know it's almost honored to be apathetic and not to care well folks that is why your taxes are going up, its pay these big bankers. Well I think that the teachers I think that the principals I think that the people at the Texas Education Agency are probably a hell of lot better than I am

02:01 They are devoted, they work hard and they are caught up in the system just like we are. They're caught up in the system just like we are! They're trying to do the right thing and they don't know what the right thing is. Well, how do we change it? How do we fight back against... Let me tell you exactly how you would do it You would get legislators to pass a bill that says that under no circumstances

02:39 Can a child receive, can the school system use more than $5200 per year to educate a child? In other words you come at the top. You limit what they can spend and then you make them conformed to that cap. What they do now They spend their physical mental emotional and our financial ability on Finding ways to get more money. They have stopped educated and they stop educating I think we're doing a great job the more money we spent the better things good All right, I support a status government with with with the state of education And I just think that I support Bill Clinton That's all

CHAPTER 03 / 4 Discussion

Political Leadership of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush

The conversation shifts to the performance of national and state leaders, specifically President Bill Clinton and then-Governor George W. Bush. While Clinton is described as doing his best, Governor Bush is characterized as a good man who lacks a definitive plan and frequently falls victim to the existing political system.

03:28 Well, Bill Clinton is doing the best he can. I'm being sarcastic. Bill Clinton is a good man. Bill Clinton is just like... They've got to know Bill Bush Governor Bush is as good as you get Bush is as good as you get and Bush is trying to do the best he knows how. But he doesn't have a plan and he falls victim. He falls victim to the system. Well, that's true. I was talking about Bush

05:03 custom-made, everything is custom made inside. It's beautiful." On April 19th 1993 fire destroyed the first church and killed more than 80 Branch Davidians so in September of last year volunteers from Central Texas began building a new one they've been working to make sure it's complete for this year's anniversary and memorial service And today was the last full day volunteers could help complete the church before April 19th. We've had people from all over the country that have come, we've had people who sent donations from all over the country and it's a real shot in the arm to know that many people care and that many are concerned with what happened here and want to make a statement by

05:47 helping to rebuild. Most of the work is done and the church will be ready for the anniversary today volunteers are working on the landscaping while others are cleaning windows it's an effort that began with radio talk show host Alex Jones who started a project by recruiting people on air, and that has continued each week I put out the word for what we need if people always come through Some weeks we have more materials than we even have time to put up. This Wednesday on the anniversary, more than a thousand people are expected to be here at Mount Carmel for two different reasons First of all they'll be remembering everyone that died during the 51-day siege and second they'll be dedicating this new church even though it's not completely finished just yet
