Now what micro broadcasting is folks is radio people using the resources and technology of radio without a FCC license Now, I want to just mention that in the next six months to next year this is going to heat up and you're going to start seeing the FCC potentially cracking down on people who are using these facilities without a license. I for the last two months and I'm not afraid or ashamed to admit it

And, I will defend that right for people to use these facilities provided that they are not imposing their signal or their frequency on some other channel I don't agree with the federal government should be dictating down who uses what resources. As long as that resource is available and somebody wants to use that technology, I believe it should be available for use and i'm going to talk about this more over the next few weeks or so

I've hosted radio stations and I've been a guest on international shortwave radio channels so I have used the FCC licensed facilities since 1990 in fact. However, the micro broadcasting scheme of things is something that I believe is probably going to be... In fact there are approximately 10 thousand micro broadcasters in America of which about almost half or 40% of the programming

We're gonna gather at the Capitol, we're gonna march it 4 32 the Four Seasons Hotel where the Fortune 500 are staying and we're gonna have a protest at five p.m.. And we're really inviting everybody out in the community to come out and learn about the issues that protests and we're going to have some speakers right now I'm trying to get Jim Hightower to come out and speak and we're gonna have some people from various organizations like the Sierra. Get Alex Jones to speak

We've got the speakers arranged but we're definitely going to get people out there to talk about the issues and find out for themselves and make judgment calls for themselves. And then on Saturday at noon, The Fortune 500 are going to be meeting with Governor Bush and dialoguing with him. There will be a protest at that action. There are lots of other things going on as well in addition, but that's the stuff that is directly related to the Fortune 500 event. It is going to be a big action we think and it will be a lot of people in the community out there. How many people would you figure? Thousands? I wouldn't say thousands, I would say five hundred which for Austin is pretty good crowd turnout with the amount of time we have had to organize

They've shut down Free Radio Austin and as you just heard Community Access Television is not going to be covering this. And in fact we had a commitment from community access TV prior to all this and then suddenly at the last minute they said they can't do it. I mean, we actually had hours allotted to us to cover these issues and were going to be doing videos of the protests and speakers and stuff going on and community access pulled out probably under political pressure. And he just highlights what's going on, you know? They want the mass media out there to twist the issues and warp them but they don't want small press and independent press out there and it's pretty clear what's going on at all that like Alex Jones...and I disagree with Alex Jones politically He is what i would say a libertarian or conservative and I'm very liberal

He tried to intervene and force us to march when they thought we should march and we said no! We're gonna march when we want So we actually had a lawyer from the ACLU call up there and get a verbal commitment that the police would not try to arrest people or cause problems, and would help us sort of get to where we need to be. But at this point, we don't have a permit per se. We do have a verbal agreement from the police that they gave to one of our lawyers so
