Dallas County Deputy Arrests Biker to Seize Helmet Camera
Dallas County Deputy James Westbrook arrested sport biker Chris Moore on Stemmons Freeway during Memorial Day weekend. While Moore was riding in a large pack, Westbrook initiated a stop specifically to confiscate Moore's helmet camera as evidence. After Moore refused to surrender his personal property, he was arrested on a charge of having an obstructed license plate and spent eight hours in jail.

It was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and Moore, riding southbound on Stemmons in a pack of 50 to 100 sport bikers got pulled over while riding below speed limit. Officers were out in force that weekend, working to prevent another shutdown of a Dallas freeway like this one last Memorial Weekend that ultimately led to three arrests. So why was more pulled over? Dallas Deputy Sheriff James Westbrook says he wanted to see what was on the camera. Was I doing something wrong or am I being pulled over for it?
