About this episode

Mike Hanson marks the 24th anniversary of the April 19, 1993, federal raid on the Branch Davidian complex in Waco, Texas. The commemoration honors the 82 men, women, and children who perished at Mount Carmel, alongside the four ATF agents killed during the initial 51-day siege. A memorial service takes place at the rebuilt church, a structure completed by Christian volunteers in 1999 and officially dedicated in 2000.

The Mike Hanson Archives on YouTube and Facebook now host a comprehensive digital collection of video documentation regarding the tragedy. These resources feature films about the Mount Carmel survivors and a virtual tour of the Davy Crockett Store and Cafe for those unable to attend the Texas service. Hanson maintains these records to preserve the historical narrative of the 1993 fire and the subsequent reconstruction efforts led by community volunteers at the site.

Mike Hanson provides a rare look into the surviving community through his personal video archives and historical footage. The digital tour offers a somber perspective on the landscape of the rebuilt church and the enduring legacy of the Branch Davidian members who remain in the Waco area.
